Tia & Michael, Cape Horn Estate Wedding
This was the fourth wedding I shot at Cape Horn Estate and each time I’m blown away such a beautiful wedding venue exists so close to home! Overlooking the Columbia gorge and mountain sides, it feels like something out of a fairytale. Lush hydrangeas line its pathways, the getting ready room is so spacious and the arch couples marry under? A DREAM. For Tia and Michael’s wedding, I was the second shooter for one of my best friends, Brittany. (an amazing photographer in her own right)

The wedding party was an absolute delight which always, always makes a wedding day flow so much nicer.
First look
First look was among the grape vines and Tia’s smile upon seeing Michael truly set the tone for the rest of the day. It’s as if all the pieces fell into place from that moment.
For their bridal portraits Tia and Michael chose to go nearby at Beacon Rock State Park.
This park is so wildly photogenic, I’ve shot here every season and it doesn’t disappoint.

As a second shooter, I know the main photographer gets the classic shots, so I do everything I can throughout the day to make sure I get different angles and compliment the story they’re weaving.
Pop a pose
Years and years of being a fine art portrait photographer for women have sharpened my skills for posing every body type, every woman, in every situation. Which is a great skill to have because baby that wedding dress is a whole moment.
