When my mom and I planned this trip, we had already booked our trip to Mexico. And I did think, “who the heck am I to take TWO vacations back to back?!”
But then I thought about how much Dani would love it, especially since we surprised her and picked her up from school straight to the airport. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE. If you wanna see the video of her reaction I pinned it in my story highlights on instagram.
So off we went to a resort on the north of the island of Kauai and let me tell ya, NOTHING beats running away from the PNW in December like a trip to one of the most beautiful Hawaiian islands.
Kauai is wild and lush and green, with impressive cliffs, devastatingly beautiful waves and the intoxicating scent of plumeria in the air. The only thing better than BEING there, was watching Dani marvel at all the beauty.
