My beautiful momma and best friend turned 62 last week and we celebrated her with a beautiful trip to the Oregon Coast, near Tillamook! Honestly no matter how often we go to the coast (and we go a lot its my favorite place) I never get tired of the majestic beauty, the jagged cliffs and ancient moss covered forest.
I remember the first time in my life I saw the ocean we came to Cape Mears. We had just moved to the United States from Romania and all we knew of large bodies of water was the Black Sea, which just cannot begin to compare.
Wild and expansive, rugged and rocky, the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean are unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Scary and at the same time breathtakingly beautiful.
We ate good food, laughed and played family games, some of us threw little fits here and there (ahem Dani) and we reflected on the past year. It’s been a hard one for us. For many reasons. But we’re grateful we have one another, fairly healthy and in good spirits. What more could we ask for.
